After attending Delta Township Board meetings for nearly three years, I saw an opportunity to bring a fresh, common-sense resident perspective and foster a Board culture open to new ideas and resident input. Reviewing meeting packets, speaking with residents and business leaders, and participating in public comment strengthened my commitment to trust, transparency, accountability and public engagement.
I have been a Delta Township resident for more than 30 years and raised my family here. I spent nearly a decade as government relations coordinator with the Michigan Townships Association, which advocates for Michigan's 1,240 townships and educates Michigan's 6,500 township officials. I also served as project coordinator for the United Dairy Industry of Michigan, working with state agencies and the Detroit Lions on student wellness initiatives.
My community service includes Homeless Angels, the Greater Lansing Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Gerard Church, where I served leadership roles as Pastoral Council Chair, PTO president, and president of the Women of St. Gerard.
